Privacy Policy

Access to and use of the Creative Toolkit website pages are provided subject to the following privacy policy.

The BECTU Sector of Prospect, (otherwise referred to as BECTU), the provider of the site, makes no effort to identify public individual users of this site. No identifying data of such individual users is disclosed to any third party for any purpose.

The above does not apply to users sending email to Creative Toolkit or BECTU addresses or lists on this site (some of which may not be in the bectu.org.uk domain) or responses to user completed forms on Creative Toolkit web pages. For more information on the union's privacy policy visit this page.

Email interactions are guided by general net-etiquette conventions.

HTTP requests to the BECTU server are logged. This identifies the following connected with HTTP requests:

  1. The originating IP address of user agents requesting a URL
  2. The referer
  3. The user-agent information

BECTU does not log the specific individual identity of visitors relating to such HTTP requests.

Log files are analysed to determine a number of statistics - for example which are the most requested pages.

Logged information is kept indefinitely as administrative and research material. Aggregate statistics (not identifying individual users) generated from these logs may be reported publicly.

All queries concerning any of the above should be referred to the site administrators.
